In the angalo-saxon story Beowulf the theme is good vs. evil. The main charactor is a man named Beowulf and he is considered a hero. However is he a hero? Many in my class have debated if he is or if he isn't.  The question is than what makes a hero. To me a hero is ta person who is willing to give up his life for others. Some one who is willing to always do what is right. That is my diffenition of a hero. Beowulf, in my opion fills the bill. Even if he does want the glory that goes with kill the monster he is still saving people. Beowulf is a hero even if his motives where not pure than tell me and think for yourself who always has pure motives.
