Happiness is described in many different ways. There are many different definitions for the word happy. The dictionary definition of happy is having showing or causing a feeling of great pleasure, contentment or joy. The definition you should be concerned with however is your own.

In the story Brave New World happiness can be found in many different ways. The people in the story really don’t know what happy really is. They have been taught to think that you can find happiness in a pill, having sex, or going to a feely. They find happiness by taking a drug called soma. Soma is the drug that makes the charters in the story feel better. Another way that they fell that they become happy is having sex. They have been taught that the more sex that they have the better that they will feel and the happier they will be. They believe that these artificial ways to make them happy is what happiness really is.

Another way to describe happiness is the way that Portage High School does. My school thinks that you can find happiness by working hard and doing what you can to pass in school. To some this may seen right that you will be happy by doing this. However I feel that if they would be really happy by doing there work than they would have no problem doing the work that teachers give them. Today I seen that many students don’t want to be in the school because they are not happy there. If they had found happiness in the school than they would not have fallen asleep and would have done the work that my teacher had given them.

Finally the last way that I will describe happiness is to find the definition that best fits you. My definition for happiness is to do any thing to that will make me feel good. It is a simple definition but it covers what I think that it means. I will become happy when ever I do something good to help some one. I also feel good when I finally achieve something that I had been working to find. The last thing that makes me happy is just to do what I feel is right. I can find happiness in the many things that I have done in my life and I am happy with it.

In conclusion happiness is found in many ways by different t people. People have to look for them selves to find out what truly make them happy. Happiness changes to a single persons needs and wants. It depends on what they have been taught and what they believe on there own. Happiness can only be found by some one how is trying to find it for themselves only if they are not afraid to find it .
